Cal Shakes Presents Titus Andronicus
It’s About Bloody Time
Photo by Kevin Berne, concept by Ilsa Brink
For the first time in its 38-year history, the California Shakespeare theater has produced Titus Andronicus, Shakespeare’s bloody revenge tragedy. Flying Moose braved the cold night air at a late night dress rehearsal to capture the action on stage. We made two trailers:
Run, don’t walk, to see this fun fest of murder and dismemberment, which ends June 26. The stage is an outdoor amphitheater in the rolling East Bay Hills, so you can picnic, swill wine, and toss chicken parts at the stage if you don’t like the show.
Act Presents Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City
“A home-turf hit” —Variety

Three decades after Armistead Maupin mesmerized millions with his daily column in the city’s newspapers, his iconic San Francisco saga comes home as a momentous new musical. Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City unleashes an exuberant celebration of the irrepressible spirit that continues to define our City by the Bay. The Moose shot the workshop production back in October 2010, then returned to shoot B-roll of the actual performance. Our video has appeared on numerous Bay Area television stations and on the ACT website. The show has been extended through July 24th.
