Why record your performance?
- Use your video as a learning tool to review your work.
- Create a professional marketing tool to promote your acting career.
Many producers have moved beyond headshots and
resumes and use internet video to help cast their projects. This is
especially true of film producers.
- Take advantage of this great opportunity to record your audition at
a fraction of the cost of producing a professional video on your own.
What do others say?
“When actors send us a video audition, it gives us a valuable perspective on their work that goes far beyond a headshot and resume.”
~Sheila Balter, Charter Member, Word for Word
“Having the Moosepix video on my TBA résumé page has absolutely helped me get calls. I've purchased and posted it for the last two years and I was contacted several times by interested directors. I am planning on using Moosepix again.”
~Olivia Hytha, Actor
“We first purchased the Flying Moose video three years ago for my daughter’s audition at Generals, and we’ve gotten it every year since and posted it on her TBA résumé page. The videos always look very professional, and really flesh out her résumé, which has led to lots of auditions and castings.”
~Carole Parker, Parent, and Haley Reicher, Actor
“I've had plenty of people mention that they had seen the video and appreciated being able to see a sample of my work. I do believe having the video is one more tool, one part of a complete online résumé package that encourages people to call you in to audition. I would buy the video package again.”
~Elinor Bell, actor

When do I get my video?
Media files will be available approximately 6 weeks after the auditions. This year, that date is March 25, 2019.
Can I put the video on my own website?
Absolutely! The easiest method is to link to YouTube or Vimeo or a similar hosting platform. Alternatively you can recompress the file we deliver into whatever format and for whatever platform you require.
How do I get my video file?
We will send you a link to download your file from the file transfer service, “WeTransfer”. The link is for downloading only and not for distribution (i.e., we are not hosting your video for playback. You need to host it on a service like YouTube or Vimeo). The download link will remain available for 30 days.
Do you edit the video? Do you add titles?
We add a TBA logo and a simple title with your name at the opening of the video. We add fade ins and fade outs for a professional presentation. We adjust sound and color. Otherwise, the video is a complete recording of your entire audition.
What if I decide I don’t want a video after you have already shot it?
After your audition, simply send us an e-mail at TheMoose@moosepix.com and say you no longer want your video. A refund will be issued by the same means it was paid. We do require that you cancel your order on the same day of your audition as we begin editing and compressing your video immediately after the auditions.
How do you “opt-in” or “opt-out” of videotaping?
- To “opt in”, do nothing. All auditioners will be recorded unless you ask us not to when you confirm your audition appointment. There is no charge to be recorded. You will only be charged if you decide to purchase a video.
- To “opt out”, simply go to the General Auditions registration desk in the lobby and ask not to be recorded.
Do you offer a guarantee?
We offer a full, money-back guarantee for the quality of our video recording. This does not, however, mean you can return the video for a refund if you decide you do not like the quality of your performance. The guarantee is for our work, not yours.
Do you shoot Equity Actors?
No. Contact your AEA representative and ask them what you can do to suggest a change in the current policy that does not allow for video capture of Equity actors.
